Instagram email scraper that never guesses an address
Profile, bio, linked website, contact page. Every address Builtlead saves is one the account published itself — which is the difference between a list you can send to and a bounce report.
No card. A credit is only spent when an email is actually found.
| Account | Contact | Followers |

The four places an address hides
Checked in order, per account. The website is only fetched when the profile and bio turned up nothing, so the deeper search costs no extra requests on accounts that were easy.
The contact button
Business and creator profiles carry an email the owner typed in on purpose. It is the cleanest address on the platform, and the first place Builtlead looks.
The bio
Plenty of accounts write the address into the bio instead. Builtlead reads the text and throws out the noise: no-reply and donate addresses, theme-author emails, typo domains like @gmai., and anything ending in an image extension.
The linked website
Where the profile shows nothing, the link in bio usually leads to a store. Builtlead follows it, reads mailto links first, then page text, then up to three contact or about pages — and decodes HTML-entity obfuscation, which is how many European sites hide addresses.
Link-in-bio pages
A Linktree or Beacons page is a dead end for most scrapers. Builtlead follows up to two outbound links off it to reach the real site.
What comes back per lead
Every field is something the account published. Empty means nothing was published, not that a guess failed.
| Field | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Business email | From the profile’s contact button — the address the owner chose to publish. |
| Bio email | Parsed out of the bio text, filtered against a junk list built from real scrape output. |
| Website email | mailto links and page text from the linked site and its contact pages. |
| Phone | Business phone with country code, or a number in the bio, normalised to digits. |
| From a linked WhatsApp business number or a wa.me link, as a click-to-chat deep link. | |
| Address | Street and city, where a business profile publishes one. |
Handle, follower count, category, the post the lead came from and the hashtag that found it ride along with every row.
Scraping Instagram emails, answered
Can you scrape emails from Instagram?
You can collect the ones accounts publish. Business and creator profiles expose a contact email, many accounts write an address into the bio, and the site linked in bio usually has one on its contact page. Builtlead reads all three, in that order. What it never does is generate an address from a name and a domain.
How do I find the email associated with an Instagram account?
Open the profile and look for the contact button — on a business profile it reveals the email directly. If there is none, read the bio, then open the link in bio and check the site’s contact or about page. Builtlead does exactly this, per account, at the speed of a scrape rather than a browser tab.
Is the Instagram email scraper free?
New accounts get 10 free credits and no card is asked for. After that a credit is spent only when a lead is saved with an email — accounts with nothing published cost nothing, and a duplicate of a lead you already have is never billed twice. Growth is 10,000 a month at $59.
Do I need to connect my Instagram account?
No. Scraping runs on our own infrastructure. A session is only needed if you want to send Instagram DMs from Builtlead, and then the messages come from the account you connect.
How accurate are the addresses?
They are published addresses, so accuracy is whatever the business keeps current — dramatically better than pattern guessing. Everything goes through a junk filter built from real scrape output: no-reply addresses, platform emails, example domains, obfuscated typos and image filenames that look like addresses all get dropped.
What can I do with the emails once I have them?
Export a CSV, push any selection into a Resend segment and mail it from there, POST each new lead to your own endpoint through the webhook connector, or message people on Instagram and WhatsApp instead. Sending rules — GDPR, CAN-SPAM, local marketing law — are yours to follow.
Which accounts are worth scraping?
Accounts running giveaways and promotions, which is what Builtlead targets by default. Posting a giveaway means a product worth giving away, active spend on growth, and usually a business profile — the profile type that publishes an email in the first place.
