Business email on the profile
Instagram business and creator profiles publish a contact email. It was put there on purpose, by the owner, which makes it the highest-quality address on the platform.
Addresses written into the bio
Plenty of accounts type the address into the bio instead. Builtlead reads the bio text and filters out the noise — no-reply addresses, typo domains, theme-author emails.
Phone and WhatsApp
Business profiles expose a phone number and a country code, and many bios carry a wa.me link. Both are normalised and stored per lead.
The linked website
Where the profile shows nothing, the link in bio usually leads to a store. Builtlead follows it, reads mailto links and page text, then up to three contact or about pages.
Hashtags that work, by market

How do you find Instagram marketing leads?

Contact details are taken from what those accounts publish — nothing is guessed from a name and a domain.
Why giveaway hashtags specifically?
Posting a giveaway is an action, not an attribute. An account running one has a product worth giving away, is actively spending effort on growth, and is comfortable collaborating with other accounts. They also tend to be set up as business profiles, which publish a contact email.
Can I get emails from Instagram accounts without a contact button?
Often, yes. If the profile shows no email, Builtlead reads the bio text, then follows the link in bio and scrapes the site — mailto links first, then page text, then up to three contact or about pages. It also decodes HTML-entity obfuscated addresses, which is how many European sites hide them.
Do I need my own Instagram account?
Yes. Instagram allows no logged-out access to hashtags or profiles, so scraping runs through a session you connect on the Connect page. Automated collection may breach Instagram’s terms and an account doing it can be rate-limited or restricted, so do not connect an account you cannot afford to lose.
How many Instagram leads can I get per month?

Can I message the leads from Builtlead?
Yes. Connect an Instagram session and Builtlead sends templated DMs with per-lead placeholders such as {handle}, {category} and {followers}, one at a time with a pause between them, and never messages the same lead twice. Every lead also carries a WhatsApp deep link, and any selection can be pushed into a Resend segment for email.
Does it work in languages other than English?
Yes. Hashtags are matched exactly as written, so Thai, Portuguese, German and Arabic tags all work, and website scraping decodes entity-encoded addresses that non-English sites commonly use.
